At Kindred Protective Arts, we have a set of overarching principles that guide our training. The idea is that everything we do and teach is related to one or more of these fundamental principles. It’s a great way to tie together all of the techniques and drills we do into a cohesive whole.

We keep these 12 Principles in a prominent place in our school, right next to our lineage and our American and Philippines flags.


In class, it's normal to work on a concept or technique and refer to one or more of the 12 Principles. Students see all the different ways these principles support almost everything we do.
